Currently when it comes to copying and pasting from a Trint Transcript there is currently an option to "Paste speaker before timings" (Option for that here https://app.trint.com/settings).
The result is excellent: Example
Mark: [00:00:17] If you want to just come next to me and she's looking at me like look this looks great. You guys just go ahead and go for it. So what is your name. [00:00:28][10.9]
Two additional options that would be very helpful to our workflow
1 - An option: "Paste file name before before timings", so that if our file name is, say "C0041", the above copy/paste would be...
C0041: Mark: [00:00:17] If you want to just [etc etc][00:00:28][10.9]
That would let us more precisely know the source of a transcript.
Reason: We're working in TV Production, using Trint to assist editing. Our scripts are built from hundreds of copy/pastes from Trint, across many files. Having the Speaker Name + Time Code doesn't tell us enough information to know what file to cue up in the edit. Feature would save a huge amount of time.
2 - An additional option: "Custom text wrapping", i.e. an ability to put customized text before and after copy/pastes.
This would apply to a) "Paste speaker before timings", b) the above-suggested "Paste File Name before timings" and c) The text transcript itself.
How it would work: In https://app.trint.com/settings, entries for Pre and Post custom text for each of a, b, and c above.
Example: Let's say we wanted HTML or XML markup added to each of the 3, in that way a copy/paste from Trint could result in something:
<span class="FileName">C0041</span> <span class="Speaker">Mark</span> <span class="Transcription">[00:00:17] If you want to just [etc etc][00:00:28][10.9]</span>
HTML Markup is only one example.
Reason: With customized text wrapping we could use Trint to help us AUTOMATE our post production workflow.
Using Trint helped us reduce a 3-Day editing process to 1. 300% faster! Thanks Trint!!
But with the Pre and Post text tied to automation we could reduce that 3-Day process down to 15 minutes.
