What is the Strike feature, and what does it do?
The Strike feature can be located on the ribbon of your Trint Editor. Select the text you choose to omit, and click on Strike. Once applied, the Strike feature essentially skips over that section in the audio/video file. For instance, if you decide that one section of an interview is not worth including in your final draft, you could "Strike" it through, and the transcription would simply skip over to the next section of the interview.
Why is the Strike feature important?
When users use the "delete" button on their keyboard on large amounts of text while editing their transcription, it tends to throw the file's time codes off and have the transcription not align with the audio. Therefore, we always recommend using the Strike feature, as this will keep the time codes intact, and the audio aligned with the text.
What happens when I export my file?
The sections that have been struck through will be exported along with the rest of the Trint.
