How do I select the language of my file?

The language selection popup appears after you upload a file, but before that file gets transcribed.

If you upload a file and this pop up doesn't appear, or displays incorrectly, simply refresh the page or re-upload the file.

You must select the language the speaker is using. If you would like to translate the transcript, you will need to transcribe it first in the original language and then translate. See our article on translating your Trints for more information.

My file has two or more languages

You can only transcribe one language at a time, so you’ll need to transcribe the file twice (once in the first language and once in the second). You can then use our Story feature to piece it together.

Can I change my default language?

If you want to save the hassle of changing the language of the file each time you transcribe, you can change your default language.

  1. Click on the initial icon in the top right corner. You find this next to the bell icon for notifications.

  2. Click on Settings

  3. Select your required language from the dropdown under Default language
