This feature is available for transcripts and is a great tool to help you work faster and organise your content.

Some ideas for multi-coloured highlights:

  • Highlight your transcript in multiple colours to organise and label your text

  • Distinguish different speakers by highlighting their text in different colours

  • Sort your text according to topics addressed

  • Use highlights to mark the spot where you left off

How do I highlight a section of my transcript?

To highlight, select a portion of text and press the Highlight key on the ribbon toolbar above your transcript. You will get a selection of colours to highlight with.

You can also select the text you wish to highlight and use the keyboard shortcut CTRL + H.

Highlights will also appear in the waveform:

Can I check the duration of my highlights?

You can check the duration of your highlights by hovering over Highlight duration at the bottom:

How do I remove highlights?

There are 3 ways to unhighlight a portion of text.

  1. Select the text you would like to remove highlighting from, then click on the Highlight icon on the toolbar at the top.

  2. Select the text you would like to remove highlighting from, then click on the dropdown icon beside the Highlight icon and click on your chosen colour.

  3. Select the text you would like to remove highlighting from, then click CTRL + H.

How do I remove all highlights?

  1. Click on the dropdown arrow icon (beside the Highlight icon) in the toolbar.

  2. Below all the colour selections, you will find a clear box.

  3. Click this button.

  4. You will be prompted to confirm clearing all highlights or to cancel and keep the highlights as they are.

  5. Select your chosen option.
