Once your file has transcribed, it is time to open it and play it back.

When you open the transcript it will appear with the text in the middle of your screen and the video preview screen in the bottom left corner.

When you play the audio or video, the text will darken as each word is spoken so that you can easily follow along.

You can click anywhere in the transcript, in the text or on the waveform (the bar at the bottom of the screen - check out the screenshot below), and the audio/video will skip to that section.

The audio or video will automatically stop playing when you type. If you’d like it to continue playing then click on Settings in the bottom right and toggle off Auto-pause playback when typing.

Can I change the playback speed?

Yes. When you click into a transcript, go to the bottom where the waveform is, and click Playback Speed.

Can I play just the highlighted sections?

Yes, just click on the smaller yellow play button next to the main button to play just the highlights.

Is it possible to increase the size of the video preview screen?

See our support article on expanding the video preview screen.
